My first Gelli Plate Prints

When I arrived home yesterday these were waiting for me.

An 8X10 Gelli Plate and some Sharpie paint markers.  :)  Thank you Amazon and Dick Blick!

So, of course I had to play a little.  I made a bunch of Gelli prints - and even just my initial tryout produced some that I really like.  It's a simple and fun process with all sorts of possibilities!

I am still working on my series of tags and here are a couple more - still in process. (The faces are from Teesha Moore collage sheets.)  Played with the white paint markers in these.

What have you been up to? Have you tried a Gelli Plate?

  1. Love gelli printing. Made my own plates and printed on deli paper. To try it is to love it!

  4. For a first attempt, these are stunning. Impressive use of your gelli.

I got tired of making my own gelatin plate years ago, so asked everyone I knew for one for Christmas or my birthday. For over three years NO ONE gave me one, soI finally bought one myself. I've used it ONCE. Not sure why I don't care for it, but I don't. Maybe I need to play with it more, because my results looked NOTHING as awesome as yours.
