Lady in the Garden

Happy Friday! This Lady in the Garden appeared in my sketchbook the other day. Mixed media - watercolor, colored pencil, pen and marker. She's not perfect, lol, but it was an enjoyable way to spend an evening on the couch!

Hope you have a fun and creative weekend!

  3. She looks as if she's living between the plants :-) I like the expression on her face: very contemplative. And the colours are gorgeous....

  6. It is amazing how sometimes our art will just seem to have a will of it's own. I sometimes look at my work and wonder how did I do that?

  7. I love that she just appeared in your sketchbook! Such bold beautiful colors, like a flower. You left a comment in my blog post that you hate having paint buildup on your hands. I use baby wipes to wipe off my hands as I work. Sometimes I will use it after it dries in my art work. Just a suggestion.

    1. Thanks Diane - and thanks for the tips about baby wipes. I probably need to try that.
