Paint Party Friday and Lots of Faces

This has been a busy week! The painting above is mixed media on watercolor paper and is probably headed for my loose leaf binder journal. Although a part of me wants to cut it into smaller pieces. I love doing that sometimes - it can make for interesting compositions.

I also joined in with 29 Faces hosted by Ayala Art. You can see my 29 Faces posts by clicking here, if you like.

Do you ever cut up paintings into smaller sections?

Linking up with Paint Party Friday and Art Journal Everyday.

Have a creative weekend!

  1. Love your flowers. I do sometimes cut paintings up and make them into patchwork or other things, it's fun. Hugs, Valerie

  5. Lovely colourful work! It would also be nice to use pieces of it in other work. I sometimes make copies of my paintings and then use parts of it in other work. That way you have both :-)

  6. It's so vibrant. Sometimes I put a mat over different sections of a painting and it completely changes the look.

    1. Thank you Wanda. I love how that can make a painting look different - it's interesting to see how sections of a painting can be stand a lone art.
