AB Quilt Top Complete

This week I got all the blocks up on the design wall and had fun rearranging them until I liked the balance of colors and value.  I always enjoy having one on the wall like this and moving blocks around as I go by.

You can see my high tech design wall.  High tech felt adhered to the wall with high tech push pins. But it totally works and the cost was truly minimal.

A little sewing time today to get the top together and then I headed outside to get a pic in natural light.  So far so good with this quilt.  Planning to use an old sheet (in soft blues and greens) for the back and that Michael Miller print (second row, third from the left) for the binding.

And yes, I did get more mosquito bites getting this shot.  Apparently I need high tech mosquito repellent!
Hope you have a happy week - Fall is on the way!

  8. Quilt is great! And there's something to be said for a simple design wall! The most important thing is that you have the wall up and are using it!

  10. I'm so high tech that I use the floor! No judgement here though it did make me laugh. I really like this one. Great job on finding the balance in the prints.
