This room is pretty small - just over 9 feet both directions! But hey, it's a dedicated sewing room/studio and I love it. It was painted pink when we bought the house and I decided to leave it for awhile. But I can see myself painting it white at some point in the future. Maybe I'll leave one wall pink. . .
Above is my cutting and sewing table. I have a fold out table that I use when needed for extra space, or for fabric painting. That's my little Bernina sewing machine, which I love, love, love. And there's a rolling cabinet under the table with three drawers for storing notions and fabric scraps. The closet in this room has a shelving system where I keep my fabric stash ;) And I have a book case for books (natch!) and for bins of paint/odds and ends/stuff. One wall has been turned into a quilt design wall which you can see here.
So there you go - a little peek into my creative space! How do you organize your studio?
What a lovely studio ! I would vote for letting one wall pink ... because I just love that color ;-)) And compliments for having such a neat and organized studio, I'm afraid mine is a mess ;-))
ReplyDeleteSuch a cheerful studio! And so is your art. I love how you combine so many elements.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing pics of your space! That is so inspiring to me because I've been "meaning" to redo my office space for months now. I painted it grey (what was I thinking) last year using up some leftover paint from somewhere else and I realized this spring that I absolutely hate it! I don't want to work in there! So thanks for the inspiration. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek! Your studio is beautiful - I like your liberated log cabin experiments, too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Laney! Looks like a sweet place to create, especially since it's just for that purpose! I like the pink personally:)

That is such an adorable room! I love your studio!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's so inviting and that is important in an artistic space...I only have a desk now, but that is all I need for now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clean studio!! I love the quilt over the window. That is a great idea. I'm afraid my studio never stays this organized. When it looks clean, it's because I jammed a lot of stuff in the closet.
ReplyDeleteFlying by to check out your clean studio :). I, too, have a small, but dedicated room that serves as my studio. Yours inspires me to do a little cleaning and organizing! Awesome! And I love the bright bold colors in your art...
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a happy place to create. Love the pink walls.
ReplyDeleteGreat studio, I'm very jealous....
ReplyDeleteSo neat and organized and inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, too, for joining my art blog hop and posting the button on your site!! :)
I am your newest blog follower! :)
