Shall we try this again?

OK.

So it's been a year since I posted last.

I have excuses, er . . .reasons, I really do!

We moved.
Job changes.
Problems with the sewing room which put a damper on sewing.

Anywho!  I have news!

I have fabric!

I bought these at my LQS yesterday.  (Well, I had that Amy Butler from before, but it just fits right in with these new ones!)  I am planning to make a quilt - free-form, liberated log cabin blocks on a white background.  I love to sew patchwork,  but I haven't been as good at the finishing things.  You know - the actual quilting and binding.  Well, a few days ago I stumbled across the nicest bunch of people at a little place in cyberland called The Old Red Barn Co. Quilt Along.  You can check them out here.  They have several rounds going and you can just jump in with any of the rounds and make a quilt.  They are extra nice and helpful.  And take a look at their work in the photo pool!

  1. Lany thanks for coming by to visit my blog. I am planing to start with the wonky log cabins as well. I just need to collect enough orange and pink fabrics. Trying to wait till after the holidays because the only thing on my list for Santa is snow and a gift card to fabricworm.com I love the fabrics you are using they are going to be great!
